Inari is what you'd consider a gentle father figure. Though he seems to almost constantly have an angry demeanor, he's actually quite a soft spoken, helpful man. If you need something, he'll more than likely help you with it, as long as it has nothing to do with copious amounts of water, or cold weather. He will not deal with people who lollygag, though, and will be very quick to scold those who aren't doing as they should. Gently, though, of course.

Inari diesn't really know that much about his own past. Due to his own terrible memory and the length of time he's actually been around, it's quite a blur.

According to legends, however, Inari has been around for several centuries, being a deity that kept the lands and crops aplenty with his abilities, if given a proper offering at the shrine every year. He would come to the shrine, take the offering, and disappear back to his home. He'd been a great many years at this, content to having his simple life on top of the mountain he resided.

But, unfortunately, that only lasted so long. Thundurus and Tornadus, two pokemon he'd considered brothers, had gotten bored of their own exsistances and began wreaking havoc on the humans, causing storms and undoing all of the hard work he'd taken to make each and every one of the fields and crops that he'd so carefully put down to grow into big and healthy fields of rice and berries and other crops. All of his hard work had been destroyed. This did not sit well with Inari at all. He'd confronted the two and gave them a proper scolding. That would teach them to mess with his crops.

He'd returned to his home to find it destroyed by the storms Tornadus and Thundurus had caused. He was now homeless. That wouldn't do. He'd have to look for somewhere to stay. After several years of roaming, he'd eventually found himself at the park. Oh, dear. Each area was so nice. He'd stayed for only a short while and wanted to stay forever..! Luckily for him, he'd been offered to become keeper of the Arbor area. Inari, being a lover of plants, had, of course, agreed, and made his living as a botanist, treating and nurturing every kind of plant he could fit in his hut. He's been at the park since.
