;; Literally the 'Strong, Silent-Type'. Raphael rarely ever speaks, and gets annoyed when he is around people who speak too much for his liking.

;; Despite this, Raphael is very good to children. He has been known to take care of some of the homeless kids near the Hunter's Guild, making young kids around the area a common sight.
;; Raphael is kind of Old Fashioned. He believes in...well, courting and all that jazz. Three dates before you start getting intimate, yep.

Simple foods. Raphael's favorite dessert is vanilla Ice cream with hot fudge on top. ;;
Magic. Raphael's a master at Electromancy, and he's slowly learning other types of magic as well ;;
Coats. Raphael's coat is almost always around his shoulders. Unless he's fighting something, assume something's wrong if he's not wearing it in some way. ;;
Children. Raph's got a soft spot for kids. He very often takes some of the poor ones in for a while and gives them money for clothes or whatever they need in the future.

Elaborate Things. Raph's pretty damn smart, but even complicated things tend to confuse him. ;;
Social Relationships. He's not very big on being friends with anyone. Most people find him to be scary or too angry to have a decent conversation with him, after all. ;;

Raphael grew up on the streets. His father forced him out of his home at the age of 7. His mother was very careful to keep him from getting hurt, but one day, he's accidentally grabbed a sharp knife and cut himself on it. His father was the first one to get to him, and saw the red blood dripping from his son's hand. His human son.

What's the significance of this, you ask? His mother, sure, being human herself, this would be no problem, correct?
But no. His father was one of the Andersweltler. One of the demons who had been plaguing Lodan for some time.

But. Raphael's mother had an affair with a human man, unfortunately for her, getting pregnant with that man's child. Hence, the boy's existence.

He quickly kicked Raphael out, angry that his son was not actually his son.

Raphael from then on raised himself, attempting to try and scratch out a living in Lodan by himself. He often had to steal things to keep himself fed, or warm. When he was 14, he tried to steal some food and clothes from this old man. Though he was caught. Instead of turning him in to the authorities, the old man let him have the things he stole, telling him to come back whenever he needed something such as food or clothing, even a place to stay.

Raphael periodically went to the old man for food and clothes, eventually staying for days at a time. The old man taught him how to do magic and made him stronger, eventually telling him that he was the guild leader of Lodan's hunters. The old man told him that he would die soon, and asked him if he could take over. Raphael accepted.
